What to Expect at Scheiderer Farms Garden Center

Is this your first time here, or are you thinking about visiting us in quaint little Marysville, Ohio? We can't wait to see you! We just built a new greenhouse and retail space, so we want you all to feel at home and relaxed as you shop. One customer put it this way, "this has always been my happy place, but now I'm in an even happier place!" 

Updated layout, inspiring shopping experience:
Level, cement floors for easy walking and pushing carts, climate controlled retail space in our retail barn, and lower hanging basket racks for easy access. The part we are most excited about? BATHROOMS! They are adorable and so clean; make sure you check them out even if you don't need to use them! Our old retail space is converted to all growing, in case you were wondering.

We also have donkeys (Violet, Pansy, Heriberto, Willow, Buckeye, and Marigold) and a horse, named Skipper...ask at the checkout and we will give you a treat to feed the herd.

Be ready to smile:
Many people refer to Scheiderer Farms as their "happy place." We take this seriously! Plants are proven to increase your mental health, so imagine how you must feel surrounded by them! Slowly walking through the aisles, hearing the birds sing and listening to the relaxing David Young playlist, smelling various intoxicating, fragrant blooms...it is a treat to your senses for sure and will boost your mood.

Our employees are trained to make your day, and hopefully make you smile! Also, be prepared to answer questions about plants if you wear a pink shirt to shop!

Rule of thumb: annuals are inside, perennials/shrubs are outside.  
It's sometimes hard to remember, but annuals need replanted every year--they put on a magnificent show and bloom for you all summer. Perennials/shrubs return year after year and are great in landscapes with windows of blooming spring through fall. We have annuals grouped by color, indicated by color dots, for easy designing and dreaming. We are also well known for carrying a unique variety of hard to find annuals!

Sustainability & beneficial insects:
We grow over 98% of the plants right here on our farm. That means we can control the growing process right from the start to ensure the highest quality plants for you to bring home. We have been using beneficial insect control for years to control the insects in a natural way instead of through use of pesticides. This has resulted in much healthier plants, and a major increase in pollinators on our property!

Family Owned:
We are the fourth generation to call this farm our home. Candi and I began our greenhouse in 1999, and have been growing ever since. We hope your experience is inspiring and meets our high standards! Our employees are trained to make your day, and hopefully make you smile!
